Relay for Life success for Miss-Lou, ACSO

Adams County Sheriff's Office deputies raised nearly $4,000 for Miss-Lou's 2012 Relay for Life this year.

“Our deputies not only work to protect the citizens of Adams County when they’re on duty – they volunteer to help change people’s lives through helping with organizations such as Relay for Life and Special Olympics,” Sheriff Chuck Mayfield said. “I love seeing deputies step up and make a difference.”

2nd annual ACSO Rodeo was big success

The Adams County Deputy Pro Rodeo was once again a huge success for the Adam's County Sheriff's Office.

“The weather was perfect, and families came from miles away,” said Rodeo Committee Chairman Capt. Wayne Rabb. “It was a lot of work, and we’re all tired, but we are very pleased with the turn out.”

As it was in its first year, proceeds from the rodeo will be used to purchase law enforcement equipment for deputies not funded by the county.

Just seven months ago, Abby was found in a cage sitting in a clearing in the middle of the woods where other pit bulls were left to be found by Adams County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

The idea is that if you want to walk in the parade, you must attend mass. But since Miss Jo and I were invited down to Natchez to participate by one of the former St.
