Two of Adams County’s newest sheriff’s deputies graduated from law enforcement training academies last week.
Wednesday, Summer Moffett completed a 10-week training course at Mississippi Delta Community College Law Enforcement Training Academy, according to to a press release from the Adams County Sheriff's Office.
Friday, Joseph West completed a nine-week training course at Harrison County Law Enforcement Training Academy.
“The academy is weeks of hard, grueling work,” Adams County Sheriff Chuck Mayfield said.

Thirteen baseball players have signed to play for Hinds Community College for the 2013 season -- including Natchez Cathedral's Caleb Upton.
The Eagles were able to go outside the Hinds district in the early signing period due to the new Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) recruiting rules.

Barbara Willis, Chief Nursing Officer, along with CEO Bill Heburn, announced Monday the addition of Judy Sharp to the hospital's nurse management team.
In her role as the Nurse Manager for The Women's Center, Judy will coordinate clinical and administrative activities on the third floor to provide high-quality care.

Dr. Scott Wolfe was elected as Chief of the Medical Staff during recent medical staff elections for Natchez Regional Medical Center.
As chief of staff, Dr. Wolfe was selected by his peers to serve as their primary liaison to the hospital's administration, Board of Trustees and the community. In his role as chief of staff, Dr. Wolfe will also provide direction and oversee medical staff issues related to quality of care.
